Annual EEO Public File Report

The purpose of this EEO Public File Report (“Report”) is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the following stations: KZMT-FM (Helena Montana), KCAP-AM (Helena Montana), and KHKR-FM (East Helena Montana) and is required to be placed in the public inspection files of the above listed stations, and posted on their websites.

Section III – Supplemental (Non-Vacancy Specific) Recruitment Activities Undertaken by :

KZMT-FM, KHKR-FM, and KCAP-AM

A. Dewey Bruce (General Manager) is on the Planning Board of the Carroll College Career Fair for 2004. KZMT-FM, KHKR-FM, and KCAP-AM will co-sponsor the 2004 Career Fair. Mr. Bruce attends planning meetings and with help with the promotion of the annual event.

B. The Southwestern Montana Radio Network has brought on an Engineering intern from the Helena College of Technology. The intern will assist the Engineer with various work for both the Southwestern Montana Radio Network and the Central Montana Radio Network in Great Falls.

C. The General Manager, Sales Manager, and Business Manager attend seminars from the Montana Broadcasters Association to provide training to management level personnel as to methods of ensuring equal employment opportunity and preventing discrimination.

D. The Southwestern Montana Radio Network provides tours (based from a career in broadcasting frame) of the stations facilities to any group or organization requesting one (i.e. The Boy Scouts, The Girl Scouts, Home School Groups, Helena College of Technology classes, Grade Schools, Middle Schools, and High Schools, etc.)

E. Travis L. Cronen (Business Manager) will be on the Helena Job Service Employer Committee to learn of new recruitment techniques.
